Melanoma (9.2.27) with DAPI
EpiSep Melanoma (9.2.27) with DAPI is used for
the direct detection of melanoma cells from human or animal
whole blood. It is also compatible with ascites, pleural effusions,
buffy coat, Ficoll enrichment, tissue preparations and cell
culture specimens.
Specificity The antibody 9.2.27 directed against a 250 KD glycoprotein,
Melanoma-associated Chondroitin Sulfate Proteoglycan complex
(MCSP) is coated onto paramagnetic particles as the capture
phase of the kit. The EpiSep™ biotin labeled antibody
cocktail (Mart/Mel/Tyr Biotin) directed against three melanoma
epitopes (Mart-1, Melan-A and Tyrosinase) insure specificity
for melanoma cells.
Sensitivity The kit is able to detect low numbers of cells expressing
the MCSP antigen in samples as small as 50 ul.
