Preserved Tumor Cell Specimens for
Breast, Prostate, & Colorectal Cancer
The
Preserved Tumor Cell specimens are designed as a quality control
measure to be tested with unknown specimens in the EpiSep
Cellular Analysis Kits kits, or for use with other assays
in your laboratory. Each Preserved Tumor Cell set includes
two levels of preserved cells in 500 µl of buffered
cell stabilizer.
- Assure proper performance of kit and reagents.
- Validate your assay, testing procedure, and
specimen preparation protocols.
- Establish quality parameters for other kits
and products in your laboratory.
Preserved Breast Tumor Cells (MCF-7)
MCF-7 epithelial cells preserved in buffered
cell stabilizer. Cells are derived from mammary gland adenocarcinoma
of a 69-year-old Caucasian female by pleural effusion.
- Level 1 Preserved MCF-7 Epithelial Cells
(Approx. 5 – 25 cells/vial)
- Level 2 Preserved MCF-7 Epithelial Cells
(Approx. 50 – 250 cells/vial)
Preserved Prostate Tumor Cells (LNCaP)
LNCap (Clone FGC) epithelial cells preserved
in buffered cell stabilizer. Cells are isolated from a needle
aspiration biopsy of the left supraclavicular lymph node of
a 50-year-old Caucasian male with confirmed diagnosis of metastatic
prostate carcinoma.

- Level 2 Preserved LNCap Epithelial Cells
(Clone FGC) (Approx. 50 – 250 cells/vial)
Preserved Colorectal Tumor Cells (NCI-H548)
NCI-H548 epithelial cells preserved in buffered
cell stabilizer. Cells are obtained from a well differentiated
sigmoid tumor from 52-yesr-old Caucasian male.
